about

Dedicated to the late Nate Dogg who taught us to pull out our strap and "lay them busters down" - R.I.P

All My Beloved is the new 7 track record from Ichabod
and features some of the most upbeat songs about heroin addiction, child abuse and rape that you will hear all month.

Recorded over two weeks at the Hut once again with the very patient Martyn Stonehouse

If you choose to fork out the £2 for this record you will receive the full 7 track EP and I might even throw in some liner notes or something, then again maybe not.

Track Name: Edmund The Martyr
Oh England my darling,
Where have you gone?
Where once, you were divine

My brothers and sisters
Will now grow up dumb
And you are no love of mine

From the west to the east I will travel
There will be no wolves to guard the head
Of my King Edmund

From the east to the west I will travel
There will be no wolves to guard the head
Of my sweet Edmund

Buried in arrows he will die
Covered in arrows he will die
Drowning in arrows we will die

Oh England my darling,
Where have you gone?
Where once, you were divine
Track Name: Godzilla Love
Who'd've thought that we could fall this far?
You keep the kids and I get the car
What kind of deal is that?
A man of my size doesn't lose
I could use force, don't make me choose
Why won't you have me back, now?

How could I let things get this way?
A couple "I love you" s'all he had to say
As if I had a doubt
A woman of my age doesn't cry
Now I've told stories for 1000 nights
He wouldn't hear me out, now

You've been drinkin' all my brandy
You've been prayin' to the Lord above
'Cause baby, you are Japan
And I got big Godzilla Love

I guess I'm a brute but I got a heart
Now it's twisted and aching think you tore it apart
I always get my way
Must be some hunter in my blood
Now I'm tired and hungry all knotted up
Guess you must be the prey, now

I think you got the wrong idea
Yeah I care but I don't want you here
'Specially not like that
Now I'm not calling you a thief
But you can't return what you took from me
There ain't no turning back, now

You've been drinkin' all my brandy
You've been prayin' to the Lord above
'Cause baby, you are Japan
And I got big Godzilla Love

A woman of my kind carries scars
I'll keep the kids and you keep the car
What kind of deal is that, now?
Track Name: Thick As Thieves
I knew a girl
She raised the bar for self harm and it was beautiful
She was a cut above the rest
I pulled the thorn out of her chest
Not to be rude

She took me out
And I rode about the town like a ferris wheel
The mutilation didn't stop there
By the end of the night I was legless

And after I had seen
What I came to see
I was too blind to see
It didn't matter

I loved a boy
We were thicker than thieves
What he hid up his sleeve made me frightened
He kicked out my teeth
At first we were free and now we're bound

He rode a horse
But he was lying when he said he was a cowboy
I saw him smile and
The brown in his mouth caught my eye

And after I had seen
What I came to see
I was too blind to see
It didn't matter

I took a chance
Well I tried
Shaved my head
Learned to pray
Grew a moustache
You broke my heart but I still got a couple veins left

It was a surprise
When you severed the ties on my birthday
Now I'm gone
I just hope you're happy that I'm not around

And after I had seen
What I came to see
I was too blind to see
It didn't matter
Track Name: New Shoes
Jamie's busy smoking weed out back
Sissy's playing her guitar out by the rail road track
And I'm listening to the noise of the ocean 'cause my record's all scratched

Hanging outside 'Gino's' on a Friday night
Gonna pick up little something make me feel alright
And I'm looking pretty dapper in my new shoes, ain't no Louis Vuitton

The Devil speaks crackjaw words but they go over my head
And Your new shoes looking so fly at the end of my bed

Lovers double-dutchin' on their latest fix
It's a dirty little romance but we get our kicks
Watching all those on screen killers thrillin' out in the sun

Quaking in my boots when they're starting to shout
But we bust on down regardless just to vibe 'em out
I'd be diggin' on the fortune and fame if my jeans weren't all torn

The Devil speaks crackjaw words but they go over my head
And Your new shoes looking so fly at the end of my bed

Heading out in the sunshine
No one could be in their right mind
Oh baby baby I ain't tired
You know I'm just a little freaked from the fun

The Devil speaks crackjaw words but they go over my head
And Your new shoes looking so fly at the end of my bed

The Devil speaks crackjaw words but they go over my head
And Your new shoes looking so fly at the end of my bed
Track Name: From Where I Roam
When I was a prisoner I prayed
Now I'm a free man I no longer follow those pious ways
And way back when I was a saint
And you were the most beautiful thing that I'd ever seen

And Oh, when you smile

I'd never travelled so far
From the Midwest to Mexico I'm still a child in your arms

Oh, when it's over
Oh, now I'm older
No place feels like home
All paths bring me back
From where I roam

The Badlands been calling me round
I have gun will travel my feet needn't touch the ground
That stoop kid's too fearful to move
I'm too scared to stand still too stubborn so I don't choose

And Oh, when you smile

In Graceland we'll all be received
Yet I'm just a pilgrim with no destination to reach

Oh, when it's over
Oh, now I'm older
No place feels like home
All paths bring me back
From where I roam

And Oh, when you smile

Been bearing the weight of your love
Been holding me down some, my own heart is weight enough

Oh, when it's over
Oh, now I'm older
No place feels like home
All paths bring me back
From where I roam
